Congratulations: I wanted to congratulate us all as a group for making it to well over 800 members. Today when I logged on to update the new month's folder I was surprised to see how many people are tuning into this group. When I started this group over two years ago I didn't want to make up a lot of rules and I didn't want to promote it too much. This place has grown organically and I just wanted to thank you all for hanging around.

Thanks to all who have been patient with me as for the majority of the 26 months I have run this group this group I have done it alone, voting through your submissions between work and travel. I decided to do it this way because it provides you guys with more consistency and I think it has paid off. In all the groups I have been part of, this is the group that has had the most positive response with very little negative feedback. Thank you all for making my job easier.

Cheers to you all and I hope your 2013 is proving to be fruitful. xoxo

The Sweet Elite: Feature Project.

The NEW Feature Project: I have decided to make a change to how the Featured Folder in the group Favourites runs. Basically this folder will run a feature that selects a piece from each of our 'Top 10 Contributors'. The regular Featured Folder in the group's main gallery is a selection of 20 pieces (mostly from our members) hand picked by me for feature on the group frontpage widget.

The 'Old' Featured Project: The "Favourites - Featured" folder - [link] - is a display arena for our members to select one of their own works for feature. This way every member has a chance to have their artwork on the frontpage where we have the "Random From Favourites" widget running. You can choose just one deviation, however you can send me a link to change the deviation for another at any time.

So I got to thinking. This group has just been growing steadily organically (without pimping or inviting) which is lovely. It has been a lovely smooth ride with lovely people. As a reward I decided to open a special folder in our group favourites which is called the "Member's Gallery".

You will find it in "The Group Favourites". This folder is for you as members to do with as you please. You get two submissions per week to it and they are AUTO ACCEPTED. This means you decide what goes in it, without us as admin getting involved. This is a bonus play area. ENJOY!
